MWK Socket Ordering App

The MWK Socket Ordering App was designed for Guenther Bionics as a simple digital tool that helps prosthetists order a bespoke Milwaukee Socket (MWK), a patented lower limb prosthetic interface, directly from the manufacturer.

The interface was built around clarity and ease of use. Using key measurements from the user’s residual limb, prosthetists could configure the socket and include specific notes for the manufacturer to consider during production. The goal was to make a highly important clinical task more efficient, without adding unnecessary complexity.

This app addressed a process that was often slowed down by long documentation and time-consuming communication. By creating a straightforward workflow focused only on the essential steps, the experience became faster, clearer, and more practical for both clinicians and manufacturers.

Designed with both sides of the process in mind, the final solution removed unnecessary features and reduced friction, resulting in a focused ordering system for a critical part of the prosthetic user’s journey.
